1. Why do I need the LANEXO® Inventory Manager?

If you manage your laboratory inventory manually, you’re throwing away money and time, and you may be putting your business at risk.

  • Routine manual lab inventory upkeep takes up to 25% of scientists’ time—time that could instead be devoted to scientific discovery.
  • Transcription errors during manual registration cascade throughout the whole workflow, threatening data integrity and reproducibility and causing delays.
  • Disorganized inventory records make predicting reagent usage nearly impossible, leading to overstocking and wasted materials.
  • Lack of easy oversight also hinders root cause analysis.
  • Poorly organized inventory puts your quality and safety compliance at risk.

2. What is the LANEXO® Inventory Manager?

The LANEXO® Lab Inventory, Safety and Compliance Management System is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution specifically designed for regulated QC laboratories: Pharma, Biopharma (incl. large, small/mid-sized and biotech), Industrial Testing and CROs/CDMOs.

The Inventory Manager consists of:
  • An Android app that lets you register consumables simply by scanning them with a smartphone and that give you access to all the system’s capabilities.
  • A full range of radiofrequency identification (RFID) labels you can apply to consumables from any vendor, as well as your own in-house preparations: Smart Seals (a) that detect when bottles are opened and automatically calculates their expiry dates based on opening date. Identifier labels (b) for reagents, buffers and other consumables you prepare in-house—even samples. Position labels (c) for tracking storage locations: cabinets, shelves, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
  • A Web app that lets you browse consumables, set Rules for safety and restocking, set user permissions and search/report audit trails.
  • User access cards (d) so that every user can log in to the app using a unique digital signature, for full 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

3. What subscription options do you offer for the LANEXO® Inventory Manager?

For annual LANEXO® Inventory Manager subscriptions, we offer package tiers from which you can choose based on your specific needs—that is, the number of users in your lab and thus the number of RFID labels you’ll need. Trials are available, letting you explore all LANEXO® Inventory Manager features and determine the exact yearly subscription that’s right for your lab. Also included are:

  • Approximately 6 hours of user training, depending on need.
  • Quarterly and annual business review meetings with all relevant stakeholders.

4. What are the specific benefits of the LANEXO® Inventory Manager

Higher Lab Productivity
  • Get fast digital access to data—such as stock levels, location, chain of custody, and documentation such as SDS and CoAs—for all reagents, including those prepared in-house.
  • Spend less time on repetitive, error-prone operational and admin tasks like manual inventory control and expiration date monitoring.
  • Improve shelf life monitoring with RFID “Smart Seals” that auto-register opening dates and calculate expiry dates, saving you the costs of buying new reagents and disposing of the expired ones.
Quality, Safety & Compliance Monitoring
  • Lower the risk of human error and improve the reliability and traceability of your compliance documentation (reagent data, experimental workflows, etc.) with digital data capture.
  • Facilitate GxP compliance and be more audit ready: Each reagent, including the ones you prepare in-house, can be instantly matched to a full audit report.
  • Avoid using expired reagents thanks to easy identity checks and automated alerts along experimental workflows, minimizing errors and saving you from having to repeat experiments.
  • Improve safety and regulatory compliance with real-time storage monitoring and automatic alerts in case of deviations (e.g., incompatible chemicals stored together) or low stock levels
  • One centralized system for all data, creating a single source of truth for your entire lab.
Easy to Set Up, Easy to Use
  • Rapid integration into your existing workflows.
  • Easily—and accurately—capture data with user-friendly Android and Web applications for adoption by all users, plus RFID labels.
  • Custom-developed RFID Smart Seals developed with your lab’s requirements in mind.
  • Achieve complete lab coverage with a vendor-neutral system.
  • Harmonize access for all authorized users through a secure web interface.
